Summit Pediatric Pulmonology, LLC offers state of the art specialized care to children with asthma and other pulmonary conditions. The practice is a partnership with Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Our staff consists of a Board Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist and three Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, as well as a full time support staff and billing department.
The practice specializes in caring for children and families who are affected by asthma, pulmonary abnormalities, and lung conditions associated with prematurity. Conditions closely related to asthma such as environmental allergies, food allergies, and eczema, can also be evaluated and treated. We take great pride in our ability to take care of the child and the family in a way that helps to address concerns and allow the family to live a healthy, active life.
Dr. Michael Bye is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at Columbia University Medical Center, nationally known for his expertise in asthma and other children’s lung diseases. He has published many articles to this end, and has been chosen as “New York’s Best Doctor of the Year” in pediatric pulmonary medicine. He is on one print specialty editorial board and one electronic editorial board. Dr. Bye continues to review and publish articles related to pulmonary medicine, which keeps us at the forefront of advances in pulmonary medicine.
Our affiliation with Columbia University gives patients and families direct access to state of the art facilities and research centers. This allows us to explore all possibilities when providing care to children with pulmonary diseases. If the need should arise, our patients have the option to be cared for at The Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital of New York Presbyterian, one of the leading children’s hospitals in the nation.
