Travel Tips
If you are traveling to another country, be sure to bring an electricity converter device, as many foreign countries have different voltages in their electric outlets. Additionally, it is helpful to bring all prescription medications in the original package to avoid any difficulties getting through Customs. You can request a letter from our office for traveling with a nebulizer/compressor.
If you are traveling by car, there are compressors which will plug into a car lighter. In general, these compressors are not as powerful as electric plug-in types of units. Also, battery operated nebulizers are now available.
In general, most insurance plans cover nebulizer/compressors. Check with your insurance company to find out your benefit for durable medical equipment.
